A small audit practice that still visits the warehouse floor
Juniper Ledger Review was founded to give private companies and foundations in Kyushu an auditor who reads the source documents, not only the summary schedules.
Origin
The practice began after years of year-end assignments across Kumamoto Prefecture — food processors, construction subcontractors, and community foundations whose boards wanted findings they could discuss without a glossary of jargon.
We keep the firm intentionally small so the same senior reviewer who scopes the engagement also sits with your bookkeeper during sampling. That continuity matters when cutoffs, inventory counts, or related-party notes need patient follow-up.
Working approach
Engagements follow a familiar audit rhythm: planning and risk discussion, control walkthroughs where relevant, substantive testing of balances, and a closing meeting before the report is finalized. We document exceptions with voucher references so your team can correct the books, not guess at abstract recommendations.
People
Lead auditors hold Japanese CPA credentials and maintain continuing education in financial statement assurance. Field staff rotate through cash, receivables, and inventory modules so every engagement has more than one set of eyes on high-risk accounts.
Community ties
Our office is in 長尾町, 熊本県. We schedule most fieldwork around the Japanese fiscal calendar and respect local holiday closures when planning inventory observations.
